She also directs UC San Diego’s Jewish Studies Program and the Russian\, East European\, and Eurasian Studies Program. Amelia enjoys learning new Yiddish poems and songs and sharing them with her two young kinderlekh (children). She is currently writing a book on Yiddish poetry and internationalism in the 1930s.
