Saludos desde México! We finally successfully moved to shtetl Cabo Punta Banda in Baja California and are already viewing prospective properties for large Yiddishland to settle in. We want to give huge thanks to those menshes who helped us pack and shlep, and who donated towards the move. We would not have done the mega difficult move without you! The City without Jews

Furthermore, our May highlight event in San Diego is happening on Wednesday, May 22, at 6.30 p.m, at the Hall of Nations in Balboa Park – a venue generously donated by the House of Israel. We are honored to host a screening of the silent film “The City without Jews,” a 1924 Austrian masterpiece, directed and produced by H.K. Breslauer, will live music by world-renowned musicians coming all the way from New York, Alicia Svigals and Donald Sosin. Additionally, the event will be broadcast on Zoom, and early bird tickets for in-person and Zoom participation are available until Wednesday, May 8.

When: Wednesday May 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. PT (8:30-10:30 p.m. CT, 9:30-11:30 p.m. ET)

Surprise, surprise! You can tour our newly installed Yiddishland art exhibit at UCSD Hillel by appointment, until Thursday, May 23, any day except Saturdays. We have a limited number of volunteers who can show you around, so do make sure you book your tour ahead. All displayed paintings are available for purchase.
