Join us in San Diego for another evening of our monthly Yiddishland Movie Night, where we celebrate Yiddish culture through film, conversation, and community.

This month, we will once again enjoy a surprise film selection and are delighted to welcome Amelia Glaser as our special guest. Following the screening, Amelia will lead a thought-provoking discussion inspired by the film, exploring its historical, literary, and cultural themes.
Gather with fellow lovers of Yiddish language, culture, and cinema for an intimate evening of storytelling, shared history, and meaningful conversation.

Special Guest: Amelia Glaser
Amelia Glaser is a scholar of Russian, Ukrainian, and Yiddish literature and an Associate Professor of Literature at the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego). She also directs UC San Diego’s Jewish Studies Program and the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies Program. Amelia enjoys learning new Yiddish poems and songs and sharing them with her two young kinderlekh (children). She is currently writing a book on Yiddish poetry and internationalism in the 1930s.
