Dear Applicant,
The Yiddish Arts and Academics Association of North America (YAAANA) and its physical location, Yiddishland California, are seeking a Data Organizing Analyst Intern. Our mission is to promote Yiddish language and culture through academic and artistic events. To learn more about our organization, please visit our website.
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to help us manage, maintain, and analyze our database. This is an unpaid, remote internship and can be taken for academic credit. Interns will receive free access to all YAAANA events and classes as well as to the YAAANA archives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Organize data and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with scheduling and verifying meetings.
- Help generate reports for organizational purposes.
- Support the onboarding process by assisting with file management.
- Organize cloud storage by focusing on naming conventions and file folders.
- Assist with the documentation, organization, and retrieval of policy, procedure, and legal files.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience & Skills
- Completion of relevant college-level course work, such as progress towards a degree in marketing, finance, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills, administrative skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficient with file management and cloud storage systems with a general understanding of google workspace and salesforce.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
- Strong initiative and time management.
- Familiarity with Jewish culture is a plus.
Learning Objectives
- Interns will gain practical experience in data management and organization within a professional setting.
- Interns will develop skills in creating and maintaining organizational processes and digital asset management systems.
- Interns will gain nonprofit experience and a deeper understanding of Jewish Culture.
Estimated Duration
Full-time: preferably 8, minimum 6 week engagement with a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week.
Part-time: preferably 16, minimum 12 week engagement with a minimum commitment of 21 hours per week
Longer internships with a less demanding time commitment are available upon request.
If an intern wishes to receive academic credit for the internship, it is their responsibility to check with their academic institution for approval prior to beginning the position.
Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.
